Our Story
Why We Formed
And We Give
For most of my life, I was on the giving side.
As a musician, sound engineer, and business owner on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, I spent years helping charities, churches, community organizations, fellow musicians, animal rescues, veterans groups, and anyone else who needed a stage, a microphone, or a little extra support.
Music has always been more than entertainment to me. It has been a way to bring people together, raise money, create memories, and help people through difficult times.
Then life reminded me that even the people who spend their lives helping others sometimes need help themselves.
In 2025, my warehouse was broken into. Thousands of dollars worth of equipment was stolen. It wasn't just inventory. It was the gear I used to support charity events, community fundraisers, and performances throughout the Gulf Coast.
What happened next changed my life.
Friends, musicians, customers, venue owners, volunteers, and complete strangers stepped forward. They donated. They shared posts. They offered equipment. They offered encouragement. They showed up.
The experience taught me something I should have already known.
The people who spend their lives helping others are not immune from hardship.
Musicians get sick.
Artists lose equipment.
Performers suffer injuries.
Families face medical bills.
Caregivers need help.
The people standing on stage are often carrying burdens nobody can see.
The support I received became the inspiration for something bigger.
That is why we created And We Give.
Our mission is simple:
To provide support, assistance, and hope to musicians, artists, and creative people facing life's toughest sets.
We believe no artist should have to face a crisis alone.
We believe communities are strongest when they support the people who create the music, art, and experiences that bring us together.
Most importantly, we believe that giving should not end when the music stops.
The name comes from a phrase many people already know from our band:
But this organization represents the next line in that story.
Because even givers need a hand.
Because no artist should be left behind.
Because when life knocks someone down, we rise by helping them back up.
As the idea grew, a new generation stepped forward to help lead it. What began as a community response to one musician's hardship evolved into a vision for a permanent organization dedicated to helping others. Today And We Give is being built not only for today's artists, but for future generations of musicians, performers, and creatives who may someday need the same helping hand.
